Farmers Market Feast: Watermelon, Feta, and Tomato Salad

Farmers market tables in San Diego are filled with late summer fruits and herbs. Combine sweet watermelon and tomatoes with creamy feta, nutty sesame, and refreshing mint for a dish that takes full advantage of our seemingly endless summer.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 2-4 Serving(s)
  • 3 cups seedless watermelon, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1/2 cup grape tomatoes, halved (mix of orange and yellow if available)
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup feta, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (white or black)
  • sumac
  • handful mint leaves, roughly torn

Instructions

Arrange watermelon and grape tomatoes in an even overlapping pattern on a large serving platter.

Drizzle with oil and then sprinkle with feta, sesame seeds, and a few pinches of tart sumac. Finish with freshly torn mint leaves.

Serve at once.
