Led by renowned conservation biologist, William Toone, ECOLIFE has been able to impact both the natural world and human lives across the globe.

The conservation of nature’s flora and fauna and the protection of indigenous communities are not mutually exclusive, but rather mutually necessary to achieve long-term success. This sentiment has set ECOLIFE Conservation apart from others and allowed the organization to be pioneers of the next generation of conservation efforts.

ECOLIFE’s journey began in a remote village in Madagascar that was devastated by a natural disaster and unable to recover. The community was denied aid from groups who did not see humans and indigenous peoples as belonging to their wildlife conservation mission, and it was after this that Bill understood there was a gap needing to be filled; one in which humanitarian and conservation work were fused to truly include the entirety of the global community. The rest was history.

Throughout the fifteen years, ECOLIFE has been working towards saving ecosystems and saving lives. Their mission has brought them to work with some of the most underserved communities whose livelihoods are intertwined with that of some of the most threatened species on the planet.

Their 15th Anniversary Gala this September celebrates their impact and milestones for both their Fuel-efficient Stove Program in Mexico and Uganda, as well as their Aquaponics Program here in San Diego and around the United States. This celebration of life-saving work and its supporters includes live entertainment, a silent and live auction, and most importantly, delectable food from a lineup of local, decorated chefs.
